Nesting Accomplished!

Desirae and her mom made the entire nursery from scratch. It was a big project that included the crib linens and skirt, window coverings, matching basket liners, and even a matching lamp shade. Jon refinished an older dresser as well and was very impressed with himself. The excellent job from the women was already expected.

The most of the room was done in apple green and dark brown.



Notice the cute matching liners in the baskets.



The window covering rolls up and ties at the bottom. Its covering a huge window that is in the baby room.


The crib skirt was done in the stripped material to match the window.


This is the dresser that Jon worked on, and the awesome lamp shade that Denece made.


The drawers were previously brown. We refinished them in red and then antiqued them with a dark brown. They were the same dressers that Desirae's parents used when she was a baby.


You can a see a hint of the antiquing through the glare. It is the first time Jon has refinished furniture and he had a ball doing it.
