Labor and Delivery

Desirae started labor on Saturday Night at about 10:30. There were no warnings, her water just broke. She was good to go!


Jon was prepared, but got a little flustered when we had to go to the hospital right away instead of quietly laboring at home for a couple of hours. Yes, this really happened, his shirt is on backwards.


We checked in and they stuck Desi on an epidural right away. She labored until about 2:30 pm on Sunday when she finally got to start pushing.


Jon got to spend the night on this awesome chair/bed. It didn't really succeed at either roll. It is almost a Transformer the way it turns back into a chair.


Desirae pushed like a pro for two hours and then had a C-section after having a minor complication coupled with the fact that that baby just wasn't planning on coming out. Hurray for anesthesia!
